How do promo codes work on CS2 skin sites?
A promo code is a voucher issued by an operator. When you create an account or make your first deposit, you then get a bonus, for example balance or free spins. The size of the bonus is stated in the operator's terms.
Two kinds of codes
- Public codes: The operator publishes them, for example on partner sites or in communities. Many apply to all new customers.
- Own codes (creator codes): A creator or partner gets their own code. When you use it, the partner receives a commission. For you the bonus usually does not change. The commission is, however, the reason such codes appear on sites like this one. We mark this.
How to recognise a valid code
- The code is on the operator's official site or is named in its terms.
- It has an expiry date that lies in the future.
- The terms name a minimum deposit and wagering requirements.
Do not trust codes you cannot verify. A code without a source is often outdated or only serves to harvest data.
What to check in the terms
- Wagering requirements: The bonus often has to be bet several times before you can cash out.
- Maximum amount: The bonus is often capped.
- Exclusions: Certain games or payment methods are excluded from the bonus.
Read the terms in full before you deposit.
